The voltage tester is an essential safety tool for power system operations and electricity-related work in industrial and mining enterprises. It is applied to verify whether power lines or equipment carry operating power-frequency voltage, so as to protect the personal safety of staff performing power-off maintenance work.
What Precautions Should Be Taken?
1. This signal generator is equipped with a power indicator. If the indicator does not light up during use, replace the battery before reuse.
2. Store the signal generator in a dry and ventilated place when not in use to avoid moisture damage.
How to Use the Device?
Select a signal generator matching the voltage class of the high-voltage voltage tester. Hold the working end (probe head) of the voltage tester, align and attach the electrode tip of the generator to that of the tested high-voltage voltage tester, then press the switch to activate the device. If the high-voltage voltage tester outputs voice, sound and light alarms, its performance is confirmed intact; absence of such alarms indicates a malfunction, and the tester must not be put into service.
To test proximity-alarm safety helmets, simply bring the generator electrode close to the alarm unit and press the switch to start detection.
What Are the Operating Conditions?
1. Ambient temperature: -25℃ ~ +55℃
2. Relative humidity: ≤90%
3. Overall dimensions: 28mm×40mm×130mm
4. Service life: minimum 15,000 operating cycles
5. Power supply: 1 × 9V battery (1-year service life)
6. Application scenarios: indoor and outdoor rain-free environments
What Are the Technical Specifications?
1. Applicable voltage classes: 0.1kV, 6kV, 10kV, 22kV, 35kV, 66kV, 110kV, 220kV, 500kV
2. Compatible with proximity-alarm safety helmets of all voltage classes.
3. The 220kV voltage test signal generator works with voltage testers rated 0.3kV and above without causing damage to the tested units.
What Advantages Does It Have?
1. Most high-voltage voltage testers deployed by power authorities are capacitive, voice-type and sound-light type models. Though fitted with self-check switches, these built-in checks only verify internal circuit status and cannot validate responses to external high-voltage input signals. The WBJ Voltage Test Signal Generator is custom-developed to address this limitation.
2. This generator stably outputs high-frequency high-voltage signals matching the actuation voltage of mainstream voltage testers to confirm their functional integrity. It delivers critical practical safety value for equipment and field workers, especially at fully de-energized work sites.
3. The WBJ Voltage Test Signal Generator adopts a safe, robust design. Its output high-voltage signals carry only the current required for voltage tester triggering and pose zero risk to human bodies. Users may safely touch the electrode tip during operation without electric shock hazards, making it an ideal, dependable safety verification tool for power industry personnel.
